| I was so impressed with my larger Abu Garcia cardinal series reel that I grabbed this one for my smaller plastics rod. These reels are ultra smooth and if maintained properly will last a long time. They have a sleek design and smooth action that rivals reels three times the price. I have used many other lower priced reels before from some top brand names but this one aces them all in this price category. Smooth operation, bait clicker is a great addition, and nice overall quality. I practice casted with the supplied line, on a 7 foot Medium Heavy casting rod, and I could whip out a 3/4 oz. weight accurately and with distance. Re spooled with 17 lb test, this will work great tossing Mirrorlure Top Dogs and live shrimp with 3/4 bullet weights for snook, snapper and redfish.
