| I installed Linux thousands of times in the late 90's. It was a pain to get the OS working on my system. I gave up for a number of years. I recently installed SUSE Linux 10 and I am amazed at how well the installation went, how user friendly the OS is, and how easy it is to use. I would say if you are interested in trying a good quality Linux system to test the waters, this is where you should start. Maybe buy a book on moving from windows to linux as well.

| Unfortunately, I purchased this program because of Adobe's reputation. Maybe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat are great programs, but adobe has really struck out with golive. it has a clunky interface. the ftp browser hangs on me everytime I upload. the interface is not intuitive. when I edit pages, strange glitches occur.Shareware programs are easier to use, although not as feature rich as golive. | Very easy to figure out and use, the tools are basic but well chosen. It is showing its age and price range in a few places; only 32 tracks supported, audio not supported, quantize is either full or none (no percent quantize or beat quantization). The biggest reason I continue using it is because the "piano roll" display mode is capable of showing all tracks on the same representational keyboard. Wonderful for figuring out those interlocking horn parts. The biggest flaw (for me) is a poorly thought out and even more ... Read More: |

| I am writing this because of all the negative reviews stating that this program is weak for editing or making DVDs, etc. This program, which I have used for many years, in my opinion is intended ONLY for storing photos in a logical way. First, it does not contain the photo images, only a pointer (shortcut) to those images which are stored elsewhere on the computer.
