| I've written screen plays many years ago, but this is the first time I've used a software package to write this type of format. I am used to using different software packages, and using Screenwriter was an easy transition.

| This was given to me as a gift in order to help me write short stories. There was really nothing to this software except some hack's cliched views on what story development should be. This is not only a waste of money (in my case it was a gift) -this is a waste of time for anyone trying to figure it out. |

| I was excited when I read all about this product. I got it and tried to learn it, I even joined a list on their site. Problem is, everyone on the list was having a lot of trouble learning it. Some were even talking about starting an online class to teach others how to use it. One of the problems is the developers of the program came up with a whole new theory of story which you have to learn to use the program. | I've read a lot of good reviews for this program, and it came highly recommended. But I've had so many problems with the software, (I'm PC based), and have had no response from Technical Support, email or otherwise. The links on their site mainly are dead. I am planning to buy the competitor product. Screenwriter has been a frustrating program, and a waste of my money.
Some of the recurring problems: - Generates roughly a third of the script's breakdown, then stops. - "Print to PDF" function consistently creates ... Read More: |

*) Answering the huge battery of questions forced me to look at my novel from different angles and made me reconsider direction in many scenes based on the POV of my reader. I think that Write Brothers StoryView is a wonderful product! As you work on your dramatic writing process for either a script, play, or novel. Storyview 2.0 will allow you to view each scene in relation to the others. I developed my story on a dramatic writing software and then exported it over to StoryView. StoryView brought up the scenes beautifully and I was able to objectively view each screen in contrast to the other scenes - and also have a larger view of the story as a whole!
