| I got this set to play with my wife (we play Age of Mythology a lot, but wanted to change things up a bit). I have very fond memories of playing AoE, but boy were games different back then. I would only recommend these games for people that played them when they were new, and only for memories' sake. The graphics are exceedingly dated. | I consider myself pretty techie but this software is hard to use. I see a recipe I'd like to add to my menu plan and I have to go out of the cookbook and back into the menu plan and add it. I'm not expecting drag and drop (although how cool would that be?) but tedious to build a plan. Then menu plan vs. meal plan and confusing term swaps. It also wants to add ingredients in it's own way--making me tab through to add things the way I want (cheese in ounces vs. slices). Maybe I didn't study it enough but I've just ... Read More: |

| Bought this game new and everything seemed to be going fine, until I tried to get online and play with friends (the whole reason I bought the game), only to get the message that my CD key could not be validated.

| As a former Microsoft Flight Sim pilot, I would like to second the opinions expressed so well by John Allen in his review dated October 15, 2008. There is a growing community of ex-MFS pilots who have made the switch to X-Plane, and there is a reason for this.

| An extensive and challenging game. However, outside of game controls, there are no instructions as how to play the game. If it was not for information obtained in forums, I would have been at a complete loss. |

| Do other strategy seem to simplistic? Did you ever wish you had more freedom? Did you ever want to conquer the world, not just the battlefield? Well Hearts of Iron II is the answer to your desires. But it is not for the meek, this game is seriously complex and a massively steep learning curve. I've been playing for two years and I still don't know half of the magic going on behind the scenes. In order to play this you're going to have to be passionate about history and have enough imagination to look beyond the lack of pretty 3d armies. |

| My kids say this game is a lot better than other trucking games they've played. The graphics are pretty good and the action is realisitic. (When you go through a red light or speed, the police give chase.) However, it gets repetitive after a while. For example, once you've hired a new driver for your trucking job, there's always plenty of cash available without you having to do anything. Overall, though, it's a decent game and they enjoy playing it. |

| This game is a good time passer. It's definitely not "Jeopardy". The big problem I have with it is the graphics. Jeff Foxworthy's image, as well as those of the children, are zombielike. I am also unhappy with the script that Mr. Foxworthy reads. It is sarcastic and borders on vicious, especially to children who might want to play this game. All in all, this game was a disappointment. |
