| I'm not completely new to Mac, but many of my Windows PC apps are not available for Mac. I thought this would be the answer to make my conversion to Mac affordable and productive. So far, in the past 4 days since I created my virtual Win machine (VMWare v. 2 - the product I purchased on Amazon is v. 1, and you get a free downlaed update to v.2) on my MacBook Pro, 4 GB ram, 2.5 Ghz, I have a grand total of 1.2 hours of actual productivity. | If your operating system is for Windows Vista I'd advise you to stay away from this program! I purchased this program in Feb.2008 and figured I had plenty of time to install it on my computer. Well, it won't install using Vista as the operating system. I'd probably wouldn't have had a problem if I was running it on my old computer, Window XP was it's operating system but I brought a new one. | Because of the low price of this software, many people probably buy it thinking it is some simple-minded easy way to make cartoons that even a kid could use. No, that isn't what it is.

| This product was not the type of animation software i was looking for per say, but that does not mean it won't fit your needs. When I first bought this software,(not from amazon although i wish i had), i was hoping for a more traditional look instead the animation reeks of flash.
It a personal preference because I like the traditional Cel-animation like in an anime. This software is meant for ease and can do a lot of the work for you. It does all the in between frames all you have to worry about is the "key frames." ... Read More: |

| So far the software is great but my computer is the problem because I don't think the video board on my computer is up to stuff for this software. Most of the stuff on there though you have to buy content from Cornicopia...like with Poser 7 you can buy and add content from Content Paradise...which sadly I think both with my Poser 7 software and Vue 6 easel...I am not computer suavy enough to figure it out...but I still love the software. |

| It came with the new iomega USB drive I recently bought. Installs fine, will backup selected files or the whole drive... WON'T restore my Windows Vista laptop to bootable condition...
Just to test after it screwed up, did system restore disks, made a backup, tried to restore. Rendered the system unbootable missing partition table entry and many files... tried to "repair" with restore disks... ended up having to do full restore again to get the laptop back to usable condition. |

| When I heard that a company with a techie name like Smith Micro was buying Poser, I hoped that what had been a fun, but fragmented program might at last be in good hands. No such luck. As noted in the title, Smith Micro does not bring much technology to the Poser table. It basically adds network rendering, which was needed, but at a hefty price, especially for those of us in the Art community who never intended to use Poser with a high end program like Maya. As noted in another review, they haven't done much for those guys either.
