| I have purchased and frequently used Proofing Tools/Language Packs beginning with Word 97; I work among four languages and the dictionaries are especially useful. MS Word for Windows comes with English, Spanish and French dictionaries/Proofing Tools built in; I purchase this additional software for languages like German and Hindi. I do strongly recommend this software.

| I've bought upgrades for MS Streets & Trips faithfully. No longer. It is losing functionality instead of getting better. For example, in the 2004 release you could actually read the speed, altitude, information. In the 2007 version, you have to read print this size while trying to drive down the road. And the GPS panel takes up a huge part of the screen. 2004 was definitely superior. Now, why would a programmer do this? One would think they'd want to make it easier to use, not less.

| I write. I do tons of it. I've been using Word since it was originally released and I have moved along with the product through every new version. However, with the release of Word 2007, I may be forced to change to another software. Here's why.
The organization in 2007 is a Rubiks cube, and I spend way too much time searching for the function I need. The thesaurus is now more cumbersome and requires more mouse clicks. Page formatting is an exercise in frustration. Document protection ... Read More: |

| How many copies of the same OS do we need. Win 95,98,NT,ME,2000,CE,VISTA, Longhorn etc. are all the same exact OS with different paint jobs and a few more pixels to look at. Get a mac. |

| I needed to upgrade one of my systems--and Vista was really the only option. The OS is stable and has lots of new features--but, I tend to join the growing number of people that feel they are forced to upgrade into something that also forces them to spend hundreds of additional dollars for new applications because Vista refuses to run the older ones they already own--and that runs fine under XP.
