| Very good color correction. I use it for photoshop editing and with lightroom. It niceley corrects the color even with the FL. sun behind me all day.

| I guess you could say when it come to ease of use -- in terms of just setting up this gizmo and running monitor adjustments -- it gets 4 stars, maybe 5, for ease of use. Install the software in a minute, position the sensor, start the program, lie to the software and say your monitor has no controls of any kind (Spyder will then kick off a completely automated, hands-free scan), and less than 10 minutes later you're home free. | So far, so good. I was primarily interested in the print profiler though wanted to upgrade my display profiler from an older version so picked up the package.
Comes in a nice metal case just like in the image though I don't expect to be traveling with it much it makes a save place to store the devices. My customer service experience was great. | ColorVision PrintFIX PRO Suite (Win/Mac)
This product has some problems with final tuning of icc profiles. I also had trouble with the spectrometer but they replaced it promptly. The learning curve is a bit fuzzy. I need more time to work out the problems |

Setup is easy, takes about 10 mins, and gives multiple options for standards to calibrate against, such as sRGB. Measures gamma, color temp, and blk & wht luminances, and has ability to make ICC profiles (maybe edit too?) Printer unit works by calibration against known setting from paper type and ink. | I just bought the Spyder 2 Pro and the monitor calibration worked very well. After the first try, I found that the screen was a little bit brighter, then I printed a photo work by HP Designjet 130, and glad to have good result , nearly same as in the screen. Then , I lowered the Gamma in the interface of graphic card software to make the screen not so bright for my eyes comfortable, try again ,then printed the same photo, the result was better than the first try, more tones in the colors, is accurate as in the screen. ...
