| I had an under $99 program from another company that was popular, hard to use, buggy, and poorly supported. After reading reviews, and visiting their support site (a good idea for any software!), I chose HD Pro. I needed the pro version because the house I'm drawing has a cathedral ceiling with the roof slope different from the ceiling slope.

| I wanted a program to help me document my "new" yard. I became a Master Gardener to learn how to do the yard and bought the program to record it. The program was more work than the yard (and it is a significant yard) It is limited, convoluted and took up so much space in my computer that it made my other computer tasks more difficult. | I only give this 3 stars because although I am quite computer savvy, this software is just very time consuming to use. It is just easier to use graph paper to map out your gardening plans. If you are really in need of a graphic view of your gardening plans and have a lot of time on your hands, then sure this product is fine for you. One other thing I dislike about it is that there is not a big variety of plants to choose from to add to your plans. I'm just a amateur gardener and thought this set would help me learn ... | This is a lot of fun to use. You can plot out your entire house exactly, which was surprising. You can put in your furniture (with exact dimensions) and decorate it before you actually buy anything, to see if it will fit. I found this extremely useful and actually saved money by seeing how some of my current furniture would work with the new. |

| They list this software as Vista compatible. Their vision of compatible is the software runs 10 minutes then crashes - if you can finish all your work in 10 minutes, you'll be fine.
The drawing tools are weak, doing a simple 45 degree bend in a kitchen island is impossible. Doing something simple like putting a sink where you want it on a countertop is impossible - it always centers the sink in the space provided. If you're used to even the drawing tools in MS Powerpoint, this will be a big disappointment. ... Read More: |

| I bought this program after giving up on Punch. Wow! What an improvement. First off I haven't noticed the massive number of bugs that were in Punch. Secondly this program is much easier to use. It does take some getting use to and requires a bit of computer savvy. However I was well into designing my house within a day after buying it. My biggest recommendation is to make good use of the video tutorials and documentation. They are invaluable in getting up to speed.
