| The layout and interface are very Garage Band-like making it an easy to learn application. There are many more options for recording and saving files than Garage Band. Without reading any manual I was able to set up basic one-track recording, record a song, punch-in corrections, loop sections, and do some basic editing for both audio and midi. There's so much more to the program yet I'm happy with what I can do just out of the box!

| I've used Cubase for many years for my personal production and ProTools whenever I'm in the the studio. I purchased Logic Studio for 3 reasons.
- The price - No dongle - I wanted an upgrade from Cubase Logic Studio met my 3 needs and surpassed them by miles! | When OS 10.4 was released much was expected by the consumer and OS 10.4 delivered. Not that it was the perfect release as it was followed up with upgrades but the first release was solid. Stable and easy to use, after installation I found no problems on my mac. And even more so enjoyed the new features that it offers. 10.4 is the final version that can be run on most G3 macs. | I also own Final Cut Pro 5.1, but since I had Final Cut Express 3.0, I thought I'd spring for an upgrade.
I'm most pleased with this--so far it's very stable, I love its new filters, and the features it has are almost equal to Final Cut Pro in all the important features that prosumers are most likely to use. For most prosumers, it has everything we need. I am continually amazed with how much you get with Final Cut Express. | Not sure about some of the negative reviews of this product... I hate to say it, but I feel like the bad reviews are coming from people that do not know what they are doing in regards to setting up a server. This is a much improved implementation of server software over 10.4. Clean interface and very easy to use assuming you understand DNS, OD, WGM, and so on. As a Macintosh Consultant I have installed and setup several servers running 10.5 and they have all ran very smooth with very minimal downtime. |

| First off, Apple converts this to mobile.me (me.com rather than mac.com) when you go to activate it. Unfortunately they've yet to get mobile.me stable, in fact I've had to disable all the "enhancements" to get my iMac stable again. If you really want mobile.me this is a good price for it, but I can't envision why you would want this lemon. |

| I love this product and wish I could use it all this time. Perhaps then I'd master more. As it is, it has overshadowed Photoshop as the finest software I don't know enough about. The manuals are great though. If I devote the time, I can do anything I want. I'm still struggling with the chasm between Adobe Flash and Final Cut. I wish I could meld them together. Photoshop CS3 has helped with its movie and 3D features. |

| I have not had a great deal of time to delve into this application, but I can already tell that it has some major advantages over the earlier version. Most notably, the ability to keyframe effects is a huge advancement and helps propel this software well into the realm of professional video production. I'd also like to mention that the product came with a very interesting and helpful video tutorial of the typical FCE workflow - nice!
All in all, I would recommend this product to anyone who currently uses the 3.0 release and wants to get additional bang for their buck. ... Read More: |
