| I've use PS element 4 for PC and now have PS element 4 for mac. It's pretty much the same except for one things...and that 1 thing makes it frustrating. There is only a edit tap. there is no view and Organize tap. They now have a different component, which i can't seem to load. Also, the process is very slow. I upgraded my Macbook to 2Gig Ram and still it crawls. When i ope PSElement 4, i go make a pot of coffee, drink a cup, watch a little tv, play a song on the guitar and the return only ... | The sub title of this is misleading. It says Adobe upgrade version. It is an upgrade of an existing version and cannot be used as a stand alone system. I had to return mine as I did not have the original version

| I recently scanned several ancestral photos that had damage to them. With Photoshop Elements, I was able to clean up damaged,faded and unclear areas. The results were great. The photos were clear, color was in the correct tone and damage to the photos was reduced. I would only suggest a user guide to answer questions when they arise. I still consider it a great software. |

| Since there really is no competition, and the basic functionality of the suite is solid, you do need to buy this as a graphics or marketing professional. But if there was a free alternative, like OpenOffice is to MS Office, I'd install it in a second on one of my machines. The activation of the CS suite is an annoyance. Moving to a new machine is a pain if you don't do things just right. Upgrades have been fairly painless, but sometimes result in new bugs introduced. Thankfully this seems to be limited ...
