| 2 weeks ago i upgraded my os to ulimate at first it was very good and clean. last 2 weeks very unstable-this system can not mulitle task without having a problem-things have been locking up on me to frequently. I was running Vista Premiun 64bit up until 11/20 until i had major issues with the phone company-and I am running a very high end pc this thing is nothing but problems if you have to get vista get premium. Ulimate is not worth the headache. |

| Just a quick comment. I like the sound output and quality - it's fine for the room I have my system in.
Howver, what I don't like is that I cannot adjust teh volume unless I am logged into windows - don't know why that is. |

| I have two of these in a Windows Media Center (Vista). They work flawlessly. They seem as good as the ATI/AMD 650-based cards, and a little cheaper (but no remote in the package). As for the QAM comment another reviewer made, I have not tested the vendor's application for QAM and Media Center does not support QAM, so for a QAM test I will have to wait until I can get a legal copy of "Fiji" aka "Windows Vista Media Center TV Pack 2008". | Bought as laptop replacement on 17" machine that I carried around the world several times. Strong construction and light enough to carry to the jobsite and the hotel room at night. Screen is bright and clear. I like the keyboard also and the size and feel of them has proper spacing for large hands. The OS is fairly stable with only a screen driver problem sticking out as of yet. I use this maching for drafting and web development programming for the most part. | I recently had to switch out my Philips SPD2143 which had died a rather odd, premature death.
This drive performs as advertised and is actually about 5-6% faster (based on a burn session utilizing the same ISO file) than the Philips drive although both were spec'ed at 20x. It's responsive and amazingly quiet even at full burn speed. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for a reasonably affordable replacement or new drive.
