| Pros: QuickBooks 2009 continues the evolution of a solid product. The organization of the data entry screens and the filtering of data represent the greatest improvements that have occurred over the past few years. If you already own QuickBooks 2008 there is little reason to upgrade. If you own a version that is pre-2008 or are new to QuickBooks, then I recommend that you buy this product.

| I have used Quicken for about 15 years. My most recent version was Quicken 2006. Since they do not support Quicken for more than three years I was forced to buy 2009. Given the bad reviews I was expecting the worst. That conern was not supported by the flawless installation of 2009 I experienced on my PC. Everything went perfectly including the update to version 3.0. I'm not sure why some many poeple had issues. | I've had it with Quicken. From its bizarre copy protection schemes to the endless promotions of its own products within the program and some of the dumbest programming decisions around, such as downloading all transactions from a single financial institution into one account, even though you have separated them into multiple accounts. I don't need Quicken making these decisions for me.

| We always get the latest version so we have the benefit of the latest tax tables etc. It's a good product. We would have given it 5 stars but we haven't seen anything yet that's new in the upgrade that's especially eartshaking. The upgrade installed without a hitch on both an XP Professional PC and a new Vista machine. |

| This product will not import your previous Quicken files requiring you to buy an upgrade after it is installed. This is very misleading since the product description says it does.

| As a PC Quicken user, I loved the program. But using the Mac version, I am completely unsatisfied and lack any confidence in the accuracy of the application.
It seems that the program tries to out-think itself and it "matches" entries that it thinks are the same and doesn't enter them in the register. For example, if an entry is a $100 withdrawl on one date, another $100 withdrawl is "matched" and the entry doesn't go into the register. | Quicken came out with a rental property program a long time ago. It was called Quicken Rental Property Manager. I used it to manage my properties for many years.
This update is awful. You can't do half of the things you could do with the old program. You can't split expenses between your rentals. You can't update certain fields once you have set them initially. Full of other bugs as well. An awful experience. Now I am going to be in a lurch come tax time. |

| Although new to QuickBooks, I quickly realized I made a HUGE mistake after shelling out hundreds of dollars. I was clearly promised tax forms, which it WILL NOT print. It will only print the recipient's info, not the actual form itself. Every call I've made for help has always ended up with, We're sorry!, you didn't purchase tech support so we can't assist you"

| I couldn't even get this program to run. Actually, it did run on my Mac under a different username -- one with virtually nothing else installed -- but wouldn't work under my username. Calls to support were useless. I got the usual drone-type replies where they were obviously copying-and-pasting some responses that had little or nothing to do with my problem and generally didn't even relate to my operating system (OS X).
