| I've used Netscape Composer for 7-8 years before "upgrading" to Dreamweaver. I have TWO Dreamweaver manuals. But DW remains SUCH A PAIN to use.
* When I change the template, Dreamweaver should ask me if I want to change all pages created with the template. But sometimes it asks, and sometimes it doesn't. Why? | I made the plunge into Adobe CS2 and Studio 8 in Feb. '07. Most of the products are fairly intuitive to use - except for Flash. But realizing that Flash REQUIRES learning to program in ActionScript, I tried to prepare for the learning headache.

| This product consistently crashes multiple times a day. Usually javascript errors or unknown errors. Yes it does rewrite code incorrectly at times and has cost me more work lost than I could actually get done by using it. It is ust an overbloated text editor. Support is horrible. This product is a waste of time and has been since it first introduction. I only use it occasionally because it is slightly better than the most basic text editor and then I still cringe. |

| I've wanted this program for 14 or 15 years, now, but being disabled doesn't pay like it once did, so I've had to do without. I eventually bought a tiny ($99) font editor that I could never get to work, so I uninstalled it and may still even have the files around somewhere.
Finally, after years of trying, I qualified for educational status for my nonprofit and tossed a copy of Fontographer into my basket with the buggy and poorly designed MX 2004 Studio. (The bug fix for the Studio is Version 8, by the way.) Read More: |

| AW is a great tool, albeit an aging one. Adobe refuses to discuss any plans for continued development of this product, so keep that in mind before you spend $2k on a product that very well may be shelved by its developer (the last major release was in 2004). I have used AW for years and love it, but I'm increasingly seeing clients and fellow developers moving on to other tools due to a lack of development and uncertainty as to its future. It's a great product, but I would do some homework before purchasing it. |
