| I decided, with some trepidation at the age of 62, to learn Spanish so that I can make a bigger contribution in education programs at the Monterey Bay Aquarium where I volunteer. Many offerings are in both English and Spanish. The ability to communicate and connect with parents and chaperones who speak only Spanish would be especially meaningful to me. | My daughter did learn SOME Spanish from this program but I cannot give it a good rating because of the COST!!! Good grief! Not only is it outragiously expensive, you CANNOT resell it! Rosetta Stone is making so much money that they are PAYING people to sit around 24/7 and watch the resale market (Amazon included!) and will SHUT DOWN YOUR AUCTION! | I am an American native speaker, was a Spanish major in college, lived in Madrid for about a year and a half and am (well, WAS) fluent in Spanish. I love Italy and have faked my way through Italian trips with my Spanish for years. And then my husband ordered Rosetta Stone. It's wonderful! I'd heard about it for years, but had no idea that this system was so intuitively exciting. It's more fun than playing Freecell, or other addictive games on the computer!

| This was more expensive that we would like but my daughter (14) loved it. Actually the whole family tried it and enjoyed it. I think we will buy the next two levels soon. |

| It sounds like a good idea, but it's not. I used this product over time, so this is not a snap judgment. Rosetta Stone does not deliver what is promises. I learned more of a foreign language in a semester of college than this poorly designed product delivered in 6 months of use. Massive waste of time and money. Now, several hundred dollars worth of software sits on my shelf collecting dust.

| I've been trying to learn Chinese for over 3 years now, but no program I've used has really interested or motivated me. I wanted to try Rosetta Stone, but the price kept me from buying it for a while. It may be expensive, but it's worth every penny.
