| There WERE boot problems with some Intel Mac models running newer Leopard versions when Drive Genius 2 was first released, caused by Apple's footdragging and their delayed release of required startup parameters. However, all other Drive Genius 2 features were and are functional. | I'm using this product as a backup server for files on three PCs. One workstation in the house, a family laptop, and a work laptop. I am not using it for a full hard drive/ OS recovery, just incremental backups of important files and user directories. The software is great. For the first few weeks I enabled the email feature to email me upon each backup, successful or not. | GoBack worked great for me (5 stars) on my Dell XPS laptop for 3 years.
I removed the stock 60 gig drive, put in a 230 gig drive partitioned into 30 and 200 gigs. After installing goback, I got the "not bootable" error. This makes it a 0 star. Overall review: Great product when it works, but due to the risk of wiping out your system, 1 star (the minimum). Do not install, no not even think about trying this unless it is free and you have everything backed up first. I've tried all ... Read More: |

| I have a small company and have been fighting this product for over two years. It is extremeily slow on backup, slows machines to unusable speed for end users and requires that someone monitor it's auto scripts. Every time an auto script is supposed to run it find some excuse not to! It has taken as many as three tries to get it to run an "Auto" script once, and the next time it wants confirmation of something else again! What good is an auto script if you have to confirm USE THIS TAPE 300 times before it will actually use it!!!!! |

| Deployed product in a workstation network of about 75 stations; good summary presentation of backup script status, but takes considerable time to 'get it right.' The concept of Backup Sets was difficult to get comfortable with. I think I prefer Acronis True Image better for manageability. |

| Pure and simple: Retrospect just works. Yes, it's a little confusing to initially set up, but once you've got it configured, I don't know of any better solution for backing up local or remote machines, be they Windows, Mac, or Linux, to any kind of backup media you can imagine: hard drive arrays, tape drives, optical discs, etc. Great product. |

| Ghost 9.0 et al was originally Drive Image by Powerquest. Drive Image was a
great product with good support. Symantec bought Powerquest and renamed Drive Image "Norton Ghost". I only bought Ghost because I know Drive Image is a good product. Symantec added a few inconsequential features but now provides zero technical support. Good luck if you have a question not on their FAQ site.
