| I am a previous owner of Parallels 3.0, but I wanted to run some of the new games that Parallels 3.0 didn't support. So I purchased VMware 2.0 about a month ago, not knowing when the new version of Parallels would be available. Ugh! Needless to say, I should definitely have waited. I bought this product because I needed to install a specialized research program - made for Windows - on my MAC. The Cross Over Box listed on the box as "compatible" the particular research software - so it seemed like a secure deal. However, it turned out that Code Weavers did not allow this software to work on my computer. The website then explained that there's a distinction between "supported" programs and "compatible." | I have used all the versions of True Image and have upgraded to 11. The program has saved my skin several times over. The backups are fast and, most important, reliable. It is also just handy to restore hard drive to a pristine condition. After the internet spys have invaded just re-image the drive...Presto no virus or spys. I keep one drive for internet and another drive (In a removable drawer) for safer banking. With acronis drives can be easly cloned.

| VPC 3.0 is a very cool and extremely easy to use product. If you're like me and split your time between Macs and PCs it is invaluable. Sure- your Mac does everything a PC does, just better, but sometimes you need to use the Win version of Outlook or use a program that is Win only- This is the way to do it. I run VPC on my iMac DV- it was so simple to set up I was shocked. In the Win2000 environment my DSL connection is recognized, as is my Zip drive. | Save yourself some time. Don't buy the product.
It does less than you would expect and the technical support is Kafkaesque, leading you in time-wasting circles. The cascade of errors you will observe in their tech support site will infuriate you. It is possible that you will get beyond anger to laugh at the sheer amateurishness of it all, but than you will again remember that you spent money and time on it and become enraged again. |

| I recently purchased Virtual PC 5 with Windows 98 for my 600 MHz iMac. My only purpose for buying it was to play some of the awesome games designed for Windows. As I searched for info about Virtual PC's capability of playing these games, I found nothing that discouraged me from buying it.
