| I bought this for my work MacBook so that I could continue to run a few essential XP applications.
Pros: * Seamless XP App integration with Unity * Free upgrade to 2.x * Downloadable utility to import your old Windows PC image saves a ton of reinstall work. * Plenty of available VMware images containing Open Source OS's available to tinker with. | First off, Apple converts this to mobile.me (me.com rather than mac.com) when you go to activate it. Unfortunately they've yet to get mobile.me stable, in fact I've had to disable all the "enhancements" to get my iMac stable again. If you really want mobile.me this is a good price for it, but I can't envision why you would want this lemon. |

| I bought this software for my company and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm based in Seattle, but my servers and VRU's are located in New York City. Whenever there's been a problem I've been able to log right in and get the job done. |

| The main programs I use are Iphoto and Itunes. Since Itunes is free (and if you have an Ipod, you have no choice), I'll concern myself with Iphoto and not rate the other programs in the suite. I have not upgraded to Ilife 08, nor do I have any plans to.
Although Iphoto is not free, a lot of programs rely on it (such as ComicLife) so not using Iphoto is almost not a choice. First of all, if you have a substantial photo collection (mine is over 40,000 images), you need to have memory. I ... Read More: |

| Download the demo first. I found this software to be extremely slow and frustrating. Tried to eliminate duplicates but it takes forever, and I mean FOREVER to do so. NOT recommended. |

| Not until I was installing NIS Mac 3.0 on my new iMac did I receive install errors indicating that only a limited portion of the suite works on an intel-based iMac. The intel iMacs use OS 10.4. The older powerPC Macs use 10.3. The small print on the box indicated it was for OS 10.3 but the Amazon specs only indicated compatibility with OS 10 Macs. No updates/patches fixes are out on the Symantec website (as of 10/15) for use of this product with OS 10.4, yet intel iMacs have been shipping for 9-10 months now. Symantec is off ... Read More: |

One caveat: Be sure the item you are buying is a regular license, not a student or "educational" copy. Sellers do not always mention this little detail. |
