| I've been using True Image Home 2009 for about a month. I've had a couple of problems and Acronis Tech Support has been abysmal. I've had trouble backing up to DVD's (the software stops recognizing my DVD player after a couple of DVD's have been written to.) Also, the software writes to one of my USB drives as if it's a DVD - dividing up the backup into about 30, 4 gb files. I've tried contacting tech support but have had no luck so far. | Purchased Norton Ghost to provide a full system backup in the event of a hard drive crash. The installation went smoothly, things worked as advertised, backups have been accomplished but won't know the true picture unless I have a hard disk crash. I am not using this nor did I intend to use it for incremental data backups. |

| Bought this with the sole intention of cloning a failing hard drive with a larger one. Figured this would save me hours of work installing and transferring programs. Well, I installed it with no problems and ran the Clone program. It did everything it was supposed to do in the order shown in the instructions. The program is slightly lacking in instructional material but workable. When it was done, nothing had been written to the new drive. Tried several more variations, still with no joy. | A couple months ago, i got a new PC and something went wrong when trying to transfer all my music to the new computer. I had 900 songs on my iPod, but none on my computer. Using PD Rescue, i got all the song back and it only took about and hour for the whole process!! The program is easy to use and does what its supposed to. I had no problems!! THANKS PD RESCUE!!!! |

| Dreadful experience from start to finish. The transfer failed 5 times with the rather unhelpful error message "PCmover has encountered and error and needs to close". On-line support instantly suggested enabling logging at both ends, trying it again, and then sending the log files to the developers who would be in touch in "a day or so". Obviously I wasn't the first fool to pay them to help them develop their product.

| After searching the Web for a RELIABLE backup program for my computers, I thought I'd found the answer in Genie Soft.
I'm a recording engineer and have very large amounts of data representing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of paid work from clients. | All that I needed to do was enlarge the C partition that Sony had made on the Vaio computer, and Partiton Commander 10 worked very well. |

| I'm using this product as a backup server for files on three PCs. One workstation in the house, a family laptop, and a work laptop. I am not using it for a full hard drive/ OS recovery, just incremental backups of important files and user directories. The software is great. For the first few weeks I enabled the email feature to email me upon each backup, successful or not. Each scheduled back up worked well, how ever I had to use windows scheduler to wake up the workstation from hibernate. No problem for me, but it might be tough for a novice user. The interface ... | GoBack worked great for me (5 stars) on my Dell XPS laptop for 3 years.
I removed the stock 60 gig drive, put in a 230 gig drive partitioned into 30 and 200 gigs. After installing goback, I got the "not bootable" error. This makes it a 0 star. Overall review: Great product when it works, but due to the risk of wiping out your system, 1 star (the minimum). | I've only used this product one time. But I'm an experienced user of backup software. (I was using Ghost before Norton acquired the company. And I started using Acronis when they came out with version 6.) I must say, my first experience with Paragon Drive Backup 8.5 was a good one. The disk is bootable so I can access a crashed system. The partition manager allows me to browse the partitions and back up individual files or folders to any device or partition on the system. I cloned a hard drive to a partition on another drive.
