| I'd really give this camera 3.5 stars. If setup were easier, it would be a solid 4, if it didn't have manual focus 4.5, if all of above were true and the company's manual or website gave decent support, it would be 5 stars because of the low costs but high features.
My Trendnet IP312W is connected to a Mac (OS X Leopard) airport express network used for home and baby monitoring. Mac support from Trendnet's site and manual for this product is woefully low. I am using ... Read More: |

| I purchased this unit because of the reviews that were given. Evidently I was sent a defective unit because I kept loosing the signal to the receiver regardless of where I placed the device. When It did work it had an excellent picture. I just wish it was more reliable.

| Purchased three of these cameras from Amazon for indoor use. Camera quality is quite dissapointing.
The video extension cable is garbage and totally unsheilded, I was actually picking up radio stations using the cable that came with the camera, not to mention the horrible picture. If you do purchase this camera, be sure to buy or make up your own video cable... |

| Camera worked great color during the day but it is suppose to be beter than the swann buldog according to price and specs for night. It does not preform well at night seems to be to sensitive to any type of background light. The bracket system that came with my camera is not the one in the picture which seems to be a new one from swann, the mounting system I recieved is the old one which needed constant adjustment. | We are contantly resetting and as the light goes down so does the picture quality. Sometimes just dots you have to guess. Someone else in the family has two of these and is not having the problem, only reset once a week and has it on a timer.
So there must be something wrong with our camera and we will see what Amazon will do to make this right. |

| This little thing does crystal clear surveillance. The owner's manual barely covers the basics but it is well worth your time to experiment with it. One major omission from the manual - the unit must be connected to a monitor in order to set it up and aim it. I have a pocket TV with a video input that works perfectly for this - since these TV's will be obsolete in February, you can probably pick one up CHEAP and use with the camera. | I connected this to a 13-inch TV I have in my office. I put the camera outside to watch when my 9-year old plays in the pool area. The camera is about 40-feet away and the signal has to go through 5 walls. The picture jumps a little once in a while but it works well enough that I can see my son clearly. The other camera is watching the front door and it works fine, especially at night. We used it to watch the trick or treaters when they came up the walk.
