| This is a awesome scanner. We are using it in our photo lab as a replacement to an old agfa duoscan. WOW...I love that several photos can be placed on the bed and scanned in two clicks!! Great color & well worth every penny!! |

| As a graduate student, I wanted a portable printer to go with my laptop in order to do my research papers. This was in 2004. I read the reviews of several people having problems. I have had this printer for three years and the biggest problem has been that the paper jams if you insert too many at a time. | This thing eats ink cartridges like they're going out of style. You'll spend a small fortune buying replacements. I print documents with double-spaced text in Fast Normal mode. At most, I get 100 pages of printing per cartridge - at $20 bucks a pop. What a ripoff!
The reason, according to another one-star review, is that these particular cartridges contain only 5 ml of ink, compared to 42 ml in other cartridges. In other words, the cartridges for the 5440 are intentionally designed to run ... Read More: |

| This is a solid and reliable scanner.
The only drawback is having to download drivers directly from the website to use the device on a Windows Vista machine. |

| I received this as a gift, I hate to think what was spent for it. The photo paper will not feed through the printer. I have never been able to use it...
Kodak said they will try to fix it but they want to charge my credit card $100 just to look at it and I am must pay shipping and handling both ways. |

| I received this as a gift from my husband last christmas and I must say I love it! I get great photo prints at home!! Ink is cheap and the HP paper is as well! A great alternative to sending pictures on line and waiting for them to come in the mail! |

| Besides the expensive ink and paper (although value packs are available now), this little devil is a charm with a cherry on top!
It is a bit more expensive than other dye-sub printers, but once you try it out you'll realize it's worth it. One leasson I learned, never go cheap on dye-sub photo printers, they're worth every penny and the DPP-FP30 rules them all. |

| I bought this printer when it originally came out. I don't print every chot I take, so it took me 6 months to print 11 shots. That was it. An error message came on...not even their "tech" folks could help. Their fix? Take it to a local authorized repair dealer. At my cost. I already paid way more for this thing than it was worth. NEVER NEVER buy an HP printer. Is this a single incident? Go ahead, buy one and see how long it will last. |

| i am always hesitant to tell people not to buy. I have bought some junk over the years ans shrugged it off, but this is just the worst! The paper doesnt load AT ALL from anywhere. Sure, after about ten attempts and five chewed pieces of paper later it will print but even at that it sometimes only half prints. Now some people who have bought this item find this situation laughable, and I aks them, why has more than one person, infact, why has a bunch of people had same issues?
