| I deeply wish I had checked reviews BEFORE I bought this printer. It worked correctly for about four months and over the last year and a half has progressively deteriorated. The ink is too expensive, though you can save through certain recycle programs. The ink is also UNRELYABLE! Some of my photos have yellowed, and faded horribly over the past year; on both HP paper and Kodak paper. I know of no recalls, but somthing is WRONG with HP ink! | I ordered and paid for a Canon SELPHY DS810 Photo Printer through Ritz Camera and received the usual multiple emails thankin me for my order, informing me that my printer "has been shipped," and then "your order has been cancelled" because the item was no longer available. Hmmm...
So which is it? Has the item been shipped, or has the order been cancelled. I don't know if this is a function of Amazon.com or of Ritz Camera, but I do know I won't believe it when they say an item is "in stock" or "had been ... Read More: |

| I only ordered this product because I absolutely needed one and did not have a lot of cash at the time. What it does scan shows up nice and clearly, but the bottom inch or so of the scan area doesn't seem to want to scan usually. I end up having to push the paper up over the top and leave an inch of blank space at the bottom so that I actually get the bottom portion of the paper to scan. | I've been using this device for about 12 months now and I'm happy enough with it. Perhaps in the future, I might try this product which seems to get stellar reviews:

| I have the 1800 model (Canon Pixma ip1800) and there is a factory flaw in the paper feed mechanism so that the printer cannot actually print. They are sending me a new one, but I have already spend SO MUCH TIME dealing with other issues the printer presented out of the box; Vista compatibility problems, missing cables, etc. Caveat emptor!

| This is a very good printer for the type it is. I have now seen a Thermal Film Transfer Printer which gives more of a 'developed' look but has lower Picture Quality. Prints from this printer seem to have uneven drying of the ink, which is sometimes distracting if looking at the photo from different angles. This 'problem' is easily corrected by framing the photo or putting it in a book with a gloss sheet over it. |

| WOW!!!! I purchased this printer to replace my old Picturemate (the original) that died after 4 years of hard use. I really didn't expect to see a huge difference in quality, a Picturemate is a Picturemate right? WRONG! The print speed and quality are OUTSTANDING, even better than my old picturemate! | I have owned several Canon printers over the years and they are my number 1 choice, in ease of use and beautiful prints. I have an older Gateway pc with XP SP2 installed on it and have a Canon Pixma MP760 printer (wonderful printer!) attached to it. Since I have most of my photo software setup on that pc, I didn't want to move the MP760 to my newer pc that has Vista 32-bit installed on it, so I found this Pixma iP6220D at a real bargain about a year ago. | I bought this printer in 2004 and am still using it now. No problems so far. Mainly use it to print documents and pictures off my memory card or camera. The quality of the pictures are awesome considering that this is only tri-ink printer. It is fast enough for regular document printing applications and adequate enough for high quality photo printing. It can be used as a stand-alone printer to print photos from your memory card, just slide it in and you're good to go. It's memory card slot is for multiple memory cards.
