No sample paper comes packaged with the printer so I immeadiately went to the store to get a healthy supply of Epson papers. I picked up various sizes and weights as well as printable blank DVD's. | I am very pleased with the product. I use it for scanning both opaque graphics and 35mm and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 transparencies. I never use the holders for the mounted transparencies allowing me to scan more at once. I then separate them with the cropping tool in Photoshop. HINT! If the first slide in the row is too close to the top of the light slot the scanner will treat the material as opaque. |

| I'm a fairly accomplished amateur photographer. I've got film from Africa, National Parks and other places, and have now put around 500 slides and negatives through this scanner.
It's *great*. The dynamic range is fantastic. 'Dark' images come through wonderfully. If it was unintentionally underexposed, the 16-bit color depth gives lots of room for adjustment. | The V700 is a very functional piece of equipment. Installation was shockingly simple, as simple as much lower-end scanners. I love it when a new device integrates with no issues. I set up the scanner, ran the install software, turned it on and got the drivers from the disk. It was immediately available from Photoshop. So I grabbed a picture off the desk and scanned it. It came through, with nothing but default settings, at a higher quality than I expected. The V700 is demonstrating it's worth right out of the box.

| Just buy it! Couldn't live without it. When I want to print a lot of prints, I use Walgreens or whatever. But for the occasional print or for scrapbooking pictures of various sizes, this is awesome. |

| I am a big fan of Epson's printers. But this scanner has been a nightmare. I bought it in June of 2008, and started scanning my vast archive of negatives. I soon noticed that there were color bands showing up on the right side of my images, detrimental to more subtle images with washes of cloudy sky, etc.
I called Epson, and they referred me to a service center. so I drove the 45 minutes and dropped it off. They spent a month replacing part after part, and then couldn't test the scanner to see if it worked or not, and ... Read More: |

| Epson PictureMate Personal Photo Printer I am not an expert, but print lots of pictures taken on a point-and-shoot compact camera. I have been very happy over a period of 3 years with this printer. It is reliable. The quality is very good. The pictures are as good as any I get from the local print shop. |

| The Canon iP3500 is an impressive document printer and I'm pleased with that function. However pictures printed using the Picasa program and the iP3500 appear badly over-exposed and washed of color. I called Canon and the check-outs they had me perform were all good. Their view was that the problem was with Picasa.
As a test I printed the same picture using the Easy Photo-Print EX program supplied by Canon and using Picasa. Pictures printed on the iP3500 using EX were very good. The same picture printed on the iP3500 using Picasa appeared ... Read More: |

| This pen has saved me hours, possibly days, of writing and typing, and probably scores of hand cramps as well. It works exceptionally well; almost entirely accurate with just a little bit of practice. True, you have to be tethered to a computer, but for the benefits of the C-PEN, I don't mind taking my laptop to the library with me or sitting next to my desktop if I'm reading at home.
