| I had the Tamron 24-135 lens and really loved it but it accidentally was dropped and broke so I replaced it with this because it was cheaper and I wanted to try the wider 18mm. It turns out this is an okay lens for casual shooting but I've noticed many shots coming back with poor focus points. I love the 18mm and can stand in a small room and still get the whole shot in. The 200mm is decent and seems to focus fine. This is not a lens for the professional but is a nice amateur stay-on-the-camera lens. |

| I read the other reviews here and was willing to plop down my 40$ for a lens that one reviewer with a d40 said did not autofocus. SURPRISE! I can assure you that with the d70 it DOES! Furthermore the glass is good , even excellent for the price. It's very light too. Personally I think its easier to tote around than some of the heavier nikon lenses. For this price I felt comfortable enough for my seven year old to trudge down the beach and take whatever pictures she wanted. I am going to look for more of ... Read More: |

| ...I went for this. I know, I know - Nikon gear is really expensive. But I think it's still one of the few things in life where you get what you pay for. As my uncle once told me, "Kid, if you want the best things in life, you've got to be prepared to get ripped off to get them." Truer words were never spoken.

| For what I paid ($18.55 current price) I should have gotten way more. Like at least two of these, maybe three. I looked at the size chart on Lowepro's site and it suggested this for my Nikon 18-200. Unfortunately, the case is way too big for it. I was hoping it would be somewhat of a secure fit, but no - my big expensive lens bounces around inside this thing - even with the hood on it. Consequently, this case is HUGE. Annoyingly so.

| This is a good prime lens for daily indoor use.
Pros: - Fast at f/1.8 although soft - Reasonably sharp from f/2.0, gets better from f/2.2 - Rugged - Good 'normal' lens for APS-C sensor with 1.6 multiplier (mine is the 450d) Cons: - Very soft at f/1.8 - My copy has a front-focus problem at times Overall, happy with the lens since I can take available light pictures indoors where my 50mm f/1.4 prime (must have!) is too narrow. | This is a great zoom lens from Nikon. With the vibration reduction the pictures are sharp and the zoom range is great. This may be the only lens that you need from wide angle to a medium telephoto. I'm very happy with this lens. |

| I was so thrilled to find this affordable fish eye lens for my sony alpha! its a blast!! Its easy to mount on lenses. Some may call it a toy... and it is but a really fun one that captures the world around you in all sorts of new ways. i just think of it as a different brush to paint with.
