| I actually dont like landscapes at 10mm. The distortion at this length makes the center of the frame so distant that it seems too far away. That being said, some people like this style. I still prefer 14-18mm on a DX body, which brings other lenses into the equation.
You can, however, get some neat angles on up close subjects at 10mm which is fun. Also, the image quality of this Sigma is pretty good as well (a bit soft outside of center focus though). |

| I have sony alpha dslr A200 and a bit disappointed with it's softness in focus. Now I know it was a problem of the lens comes with a default. With this Tamron zoom on it, I got a way better sharp images and I am really happy with my choice. |

| This is my favorite lens. I love doing outdoor portraits with this. It produces a nice soft bokeh with a sharply focused subject. The images are stunning. I use it for weddings and glamour photography. It would be great for high school sports photography too. For bird or wildlife photography you would probably need 400mm or longer. But when I am working within the 70-200mm range then this is my baby.

| For an affordable price, this lens gives you excellent performance for every purpose.
The aperture can be set to 2.8 and the portraits are amazing! At the same time the zoom (up to 75 mm) is also much better than the regular lens provided in the basic canon kit. In summary, this is a very recommended lens for beginners who don't want to spend a ton of money and still get marvelous results in any situation. |

| I bought this lens about 2 years ago and have been using it on my D200. It's sharp. It's light. It's a lens that, if I drop it, I'll live. But the comments that it is rather slow in dim light are fair, and I've been saving for the 70-200 2.8 zoom. Rather than replace the lens, though, I fell in love with the D700. | It should be noted this is a lens converter not an actual lens. One of those things you screw onto the end of a lens 52mm diameter ring comes with it, so it will fit a 28-55 kit lens. Pretty disappointed with it |

| I have a D300 and my results with this lens are quite positive, let me tell you. My model will take nice pictures with ANYTHING! All the Nikon DX series are awesome, powerful cameras. The 55-200 lens took nice snapshots of my child moving about in a dimly lit room with a flash. I have seen inspiring, professional results using this lens on a basic D40 kit.
