However, make sure you know that the computer you are using is 8 years or older, it may not have an appropriate video card to view the video. | Sony DCR-DVD308 works beautifully and seems well put together. It's light, compact, convenient and generally well designed. Operation is very easy, though it is so light it is very difficult to keep steady on a long zoom, and the zoom is extremely rapid and difficult to make unobtrusive - both probably what you get in this kind of camera. | After reading many positive reviews for the JVC Everio GZ-MG330 and GZ-MG335, I purchased the 335 from Amazon since it came with the docking station for only about $10 more than the 330. I was replacing a JVC GR-DV1 MiniDV recorder and went with JVC since I had the GR-DV1 for over 10 years and was happy with its performance and reliability. Shot four video sequences with the Everio for a total of about 90 seconds. Watched the footage on a TV through an S-video cable connection, and found it to be inferior in crispness ... Read More: |

Cons.: Antishake doesn't work and I believe is because the small size of the apparatus. Lotz of flare when object is bright and WORST for me is the HORRENDOUS and DISTURBING sound from the autofocus (chasing object) that you will hear in your movie so you better go for manual focus, "visual noise" if cam is set at 400 and more ISO.... you need to buy a software to edit your movie (about $60).I'm not a PRO but lack of quality electronics disgust ... | bought this camera and it works great, the only downside was that i now have to invest in a newer pc due to the fact that older pc will not be able to handle full hd editing with avchd format(quad core recommended to natively edit,dual core if you transfer to different format), and support for this format has been slow to come.
one cool feature is that you can use different types of cool filters and wide angle lenses on it with 37mm threads. video looks great, can't wait to build my new pc and start editing. |

| For only $100 this is a very nice camera. I took it on a trip to film landscapes and personal videos and it worked out very well. You just have to make sure you learn/understand the features, if you're not that familiar with photography. It also has a lot more features than you'd need for a camera, like an MP3 player, but that's just more bang for your buck. It's good to note that the files save in .MOV format, so download software that will convert them to .AVI or other desired formats. There're free ones out there.
