| Purchase new VX-2100 in September 2008 & did so based on the fact I have had a Sony VX-2000 for 5 years. The VX-2000 has a clear eye viewer and the VX-2100 reminds me of looking through a plastic toy microscope. Still has all the good quality of VX-2000 but, a very cheap eye piece. |

| Bought the camera sight unseen, which was a mistake. I shoot in a lot of low light situations, which this camera DOES NOT do well in (my old digital 8 camera blows this away). I've had to boost to hyper gain which is an extremely grainy picture. |

| i own this camera after upgrading from my first sony: a HC21. I like it a lot. It takes clear outdoor videos, Indoors i have to turn on the "back light" features to get a clear pictures. Besides, i edit the video on pc. I love the firewire port for best video quality. I make my home video look like a profesional just with this non-profesional camera.

| I ordered this for my daughter and ended up returning it because it was a little too complicated for my 11 year old. i did try it out before sending it back. i recorded from my dish dvr right to the device and it was perfect. i would recommend this product to anyone who needs to take tv with them, like on lunch breaks, trips, etc. how much it holds depends on the size of the memory card you put in it. i read though the reviews and go alot of info from people who are already using it. so read the rest of ... | Good video is not that easy to capture with this camera. If one uses a tripod all the time then the clips will be acceptable. Once you try to capture holding the camera the slightest movement results in some distortion. I have had to edit most clips to cut out disorted parts. Lighting also is a problem at times resuling in poor color.
