| this one star is for amazon, the item i received was with many scracthes around the body, with cables unhooked, even the battery for the remote controller was placed in. this is a definitely used camera. how could this happen from such a big amazon, unbelievable. i would not bother if they had told me this is refurbished item, but they sell it as brand new. the item could even be defective I do not know. |

| I was using a XTi before, then moved up to the 50D. Originally, i was only for the enhanced pix count. When started using it, at least two things exceeded my original expectations.
1. the high speed shots when am doing birding -- incrediblly caught each frame thought cculd be missed. this definitely provides me other new possibilities for sporting as well as HDR bracketing. 2. the live view AF-ON's live and face-detect modes. i could not over state how big it helped out for the shot on my wife's ... | With the highly customizable inserts, you can use this to carry more than just an SLR. I carry my Cannon HV30 video camera with an attached wide angle lens. It holds my external mic (unattached of course) and all the required cables, battery packs, chargers and tapes.

| This is the best lens you get for the money. I can't believe how great and easy it is to use. I used it to take pictures of my son playing soccer and I could zoom him right up and get close up's that I could not have gotten with a regular lens. Love this lens..................

| The battery charger is very useful, especially if you're in a hurry. I bought the Canon BP-819 battery and it took about 2 hours to charge which is quicker than using the camcorder to charge. There are only 2 issues that I have with the charger.

| This lens takes absolutely fantastic photos. I've used it with both a Rebel and a 40D with amazing results. So why only 1 star? Within 1 month of the warranty expiring the auto-focus abruptly died. Seems to be a common problem with this lens (check out the flikr reviews). Anyway, great lens... that will need to be replaced often. If you wanted to keep purchasing a good lens, this is the one for you. |

| This is a beautifully made and operating product that I have not had the time to test all of it's capabilities. Like so many electronic products making their appearance, each generation is progressively more complex than the previous to the point that, at times, they beome cumbersome and hard to use. By the time the user gets to be ninety years old, simply inserting a piece of paper and giving the knob on the platten a spin and then typing would be a blessing. |
