| Comes as standard with the lens.
So unless you lost yours you probably don't need it. It is however highly effective in keeping those coloured doughnut shaped artifacts out of the image if the sun is potentially just out of shot. The lens it fits is one of my all-time favourites performance-wise. |

| There's nothing wrong with this, aside from canon absolutely ripping you off for a piece of cheap plastic.
Opteka makes a knockoff version.. same shape and it works great, and it's 1/4 the cost. Until Canon quits charging ridiculous prices for their hoods, buy yourself a cheaper one anytime you can. There's no real difference in the products. |

It's just that this model became outdated, and a newer model (A590 IS) is better and even CHEAPER than this Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom |

| This is a great camera for the price. I have taken tons of pictures in the National Parks, Ski Mountains, Family gettogethers. I would recomend this camera. I have a personal preference not to use the Auto Mode. I set it up for portrait or Landscape most of the time. Great large pictures of blue skys and snow. The large flipout screen is great for taking pictures when you put the camera on a tripod or want to take a night shot and need to set the camera down.

| I bought this battery after 3 of the cheaper (generic) batteries ran down after only a few pictures, one of those batteries swelled up and wouldn't come out of my camera. I'll not buy another generic battery for anything. |
