| Was not real sure if I really needed this lens, but it has been absolutely great. I no longer need to be changing lens for indoor vs outdoor shots. It does everything as advertised. |

| I received this lens a few days ago. I have read many reviews about it's speed and how fast this lens is. I have to go with the flow on this one. Since I haven't gone Digital, I tried this lens on my Nikon N80 film camera. It is extremely fast and sharp. The first shot I took was from my house looking down to the road. I set the aperature to 2.0 and got a shutter speed of over 1/5000 sec. This is as high as this camera can read using Iso 400 film, or any other. | I bought this with a new XSi camera and it is a real asset to have the added capabilities of this lens and the one that came with the camera.

| Bought this lens a few months ago and have been very happy with all the photos since. I don't think you can take a bad picture with this lens. I've taken everything from drag racing pictures of dragsters going 320 MPH, to beautiful zoomed-in shots of flowers and butterflies with amazing results. Can't buy a better lens for the price. It focuses super fast and always takes clear shots. You'll love it !! |

| This is an amazing lens, considering I payed only $455 for it.
Sharpness is very good throughout the range accept 300mm. VR feature comes in quite handy and helps in many situations. All in all great product and great deal. |

| I replaced my kit lens 18-55mm lens with IS lens, to reduce some of "blurred" shots. And it has. Now, granted I still get few but that's due to non-ideal environments.
For those who are starting out into this arena, this lens is a good choice. I would also recomment the 55-250mm IS lens by Canon. With these two lens, any one starting out will have lots of fun. |

| I bought a camera with a kit lens, and I figured I'd learn the camera's ins and outs before I began investing in lenses. I still think there's wisdom in that decision, mainly because I've discovered what I like to shoot. Having said that, though, I have bought three new lenses, one of them the "middle" EF f/1.4 50mm, thinking that I'd probably beat up the less expensive one and break the bank with the L lens.
