My puppy just loves these Milkbone treats. Though the box says "Great for Training", they are a bit too big for proper treat training (which involves slicing the treats very thinly so that the dog doesn't get satiated or fattened up) because the treats are very hard and cannot be easily sliced into smaller pieces. | Every time I go near the packet of Fruitables (any flavor) my two dogs (both Bichons) go wild! They LOVE all of the flavors. I highly recommend this "treat"! |

| I didn't have a problem with the smell or the edges of these treats. I had a problem with the size. I thought they were entirely too big to be considered training treats. You need to have a big dog to use these treats for training. I have a maltipoo and peekapoo and these treats take them at least a minute to eat. By the time they finish the treat they've forgotten what they were praised for. |

I don't know that I'd use it with an overweight dog--lots of calories. There is a reduced calorie version for Senior dogs, but it's not always to easy to find. Look around and you will be able to find the regular flavors in bulk for a much better price. |
