| Pros: When used correctly and only for certain behaviors this is perfect
Cons: Collar needs modification, the spray unit is delicate, batteries die quickly. First off this is not to be used to get a dog to listen to you. This is to stop a dog from doing stuff you don't want him to do. You should never use any type of cue (aka say anything to the dog) when spraying the dog. | I have owned the SSScat system for about a year now, and it really works. The only downside is the price of the spray cans!! I have found that buying the 6-pak is the cheapest route. I think that the spray heads do not fit tight on the cans, and in time, the gas leaks out. Quality could be lacking on the spray heads. |

| I got this to help me training dogs but its just a bit too loud for me, maybe because I am a quiet person. I dont use it at all but yes it does click and sounds like when you open a bottle of juice. |

| We have had the unit for almost a year. The dog next door would start barking around 2 am and go on for over an hour. After yelling at the dog for a couple of weeks and getting no where I finally made my husband knock on the neighbors door at 2am. If I was going to be up at 2am so were they. I don't know how they could be asleep with all the noise. They didn't care so I had to do something and this device saved us. | I did a lot of research before buying this product, and ended up buying this brand for the positive reviews, and good name.
It works, and has made my home more delightful. My dog loves to run in the yard, and was miserable being tied to a run. He is very fast, and before we had this fence would get loose frequently... every time directly into traffic. | We just put these on my cat last week, and she adjusted to them very quickly. She shook her feet a bit at first, but only for a few minutes. Now she's much less pokey and can't destroy the carpets. I guess it varies a lot from cat to cat, but my cat is still wearing all of hers with no problems, so I think it's worth a try.
This is a great alternative to declawing, which I am opposed to. Also, as a note, I would not recommend putting these on the back claws because the cat uses those to scratch. Imagine ... Read More: |
