| it works well on one of my dogs but doesn't seem to work so well on the other. we only had to use it a few times before they understood to stop barking. i am glad we bought them. |

| I really really love this product, but I must give it only 2 stars because it was not built very well.
First let me address the ethics of using a "shock collar". Whenever I tell people I got a shock collar for my dog, some of them become livid. I have an Italian greyhound that is a total spaz - I love him to death but sometimes he is too much. He is too smart for his own good. | I have to admit that I was skeptical of this product. My Golden Retriever loves to bark. It took just a couple of days for her to stop. I loaned it to my daughter to try on her Retriever..she has now bought one. Same for my son..he also bought one for his dog. I was also concerned about the training being painful for the dog, but the automatic, gradual increase in shock level seems to be very effective as a gentle reminder.

| Refills work great. No problems. Our dog seems to be getting a little used to the Citronella, but we're going to stick with it (we've used shock collars, and these seem so much more humane). |

| I love this product, but the one thing that bothered me is that, while the length of the rope can be changed by removing springs on the inside of the metal pole, it's not nearly long enough for smaller dogs. I have a Jack Russell and when I hooked her up to my bike, everything looked fine. When I got on and started pedaling, I realized the rope was about 2 inches (at least) too short for her.
