| This item is great for my dogs, even though its not very high you can adjust it to sit higher depending how high you mount it. My dog LOVES to chew onit, probably not the best thing. The one thing I HATED was the I hooks that are included are WAAY to short, they barely make it through drywall. I had to run to lowes and get replacements after the first ones ripped out of the wall. |

| We bought this to prevent our 1-year-old from "exploring" the gas fireplace. We purchased one extra insert to fit the space, and the thing works beautifully. It's sturdy, the slots are close enough together that one can't fit their hands too far through them, and the closing mechanism is hard for even an adult to open/close. The only thing we didn't use are the bolts that attach the extreme edges to the walls. |

| We purchased this gate for the bottom of our stairs with banisters on both sides. It works great and protects (& is strong enough against) our 2 1/2 year old twins, and 11 month old as well. It is noisy when it retracts, but is quiet if you keep the button depressed as it retracts. Many previous posters pointed this out as a flaw, but the company made it that way as a safety (notification) feature - and you are able to get around the noise easily. | The Richell One-Touch does what it says it will do. It is easy to install even in an old house where nothing is square. It operates with one hand and the fact that it swings both in and out makes it very adaptable. It is the best gate for child or beast that I have ever found bar none. |

| I purchased two of these gates. First one I installed properly, but when I went to open the gate, it fell off completely, denting my wood floors. I quickly noticed that the bolt that is supposed to hold the gate in place was missing the nut to hold it in place. Opened the second gate which had a secure bolt and installed it the same as the first. It must have been bent out of shape because only the bottom locking mechanism would line up properly. | Finally, a gate that the sneaky guy can't get thru. Once you figure out the locking system (it's a bit different)this is wonderful for keeping the small ferret out of where you don't want him to be. No holes to go thru the sides and no net to climb up and over. I will buy another one when the plastic baby gate from One step wears out that I bought 5 years ago that is now [........]. I am sure this would be great for baby too. |

| used product for nearly a year. no injuries. no gate failures. Took my 4 year old 4 months to open. 2 year old still can not open it. IT IS solid, even with the largest available extension.
Had to attach bungie cord for times I wanted gate to remain open, but am VERY thankful I bought this truly self closing gate. I used the gate with extension at the top of my stairs, along with a homemade wall protector and a board to transform my rail spindles into a flat surface. | We bought these adapters because our stairways have those beautiful posts and we didn't want to drill into them. They work very well and have been very sturdy. We haven't had to adjust them at all, even as my kids have pushed and pulled on the gate... I think they're pricey, especially since we need 6 of them, but they definitely serve their purpose! |

| The North States extension kit for their metal playard is awesome! It added enough space to our playard to make it comfortable for several little ones to play. It was easy to attach to the original kit, and this gate system in general is so easy to break down and transport. I *highly* recommend this if you have a large space to make off-limits or you would like to use it as we do, as a large playard. |
