| I installed this on a foam-core metal door that leads to my unfinished basement. Installation took about an hour with a Dremel (and I left the door on the frame). The cats caught on quickly and it keeps the wet basement smell out of my house, while letting them retain access to their food and litter box. My only complaint is the magnet is a bit strong and my cats are small, so the door shuts on their tails frequently. |

The latch seems to confuse people at first but is okay. The support leg keeps it from sagging fine, but I wish it was a little lower. I think if he thought about it much he could find away to go under it. |

| This gate fit the space between my kitchen counter and the wall terrific so it was ideal for what I needed. There is no way my 16 lb. shih tzu mix could get over it. So everyday for a week I put my dog up and left her in the kitchen and laundry room area with her toys. Then she decided she didn't like being put up anymore. | I have wooden spindle banisters. This was perfect. The top of mine is round, the bottom is square and I had no trouble. Very quick and easy. I didn't use the directions I just looked at the picture and figured it out. |
