| Great idea. After shopping all the do it yourself stores where the only option is thick and hard to install plexy glass decided to try this. It's very easy to install, serves it's purpose and something I wish I'd done long before my son started walking. It truly gives me peace of mind. We have non-code banister rails in our older home. Only complaint is that it comes in 5' or 15' rolls. 10' option would have been great. |

| About a year ago we researched and purchased two gates, we have had no problems with the First Years gate and find it's ease of use and even installation far superior then the Safety 1st gate we also purchased. My 10 year old can easily open the First Years gate with one hand, but has to climb over the Safety 1st gate everytime, which of course is dangerous at the top of the stairs. The Safety 1st gate requires two hands to open from both my husband and I and most visiting adults can't open it ... Read More: |

| We bought these 2 years ago, when my daughter was about 18 months. She still uses them, even though she can now reach the larger railing, because it gives her better blanace not to reach. Her younger brother is also starting to use them.
This was a no brainer for us. Inexpensive, but improved safety going up and down stairs for our kids. They look nice - good quality. Our bannister is oak and it matches quite well (not cheap looking). They screw right into the underside ... Read More: |

| I bought this as a temporary blockade to 'train' a new dog to keep out of an area with a very wide entrance. Since I didn't want to make this a permanent feature, I did not use the mounts at all, and simply stretched out the gate and leaned it against the entrance. For a clever dog this wouldn't work and of course it wouldn't be a suitable solution for a child, but it solved the problem for my less-than-genius hound! | This is a well made cat door. It's sturdy, and not tacky looking when installed in your door. It is also the perfect size for my 16 lb tabby cat, without being too big - I didn't want the dog to be able to fit through it, and he can't. The only thing is, the flap is rigid lexan. It has no "give" therefore can pinch your cat's tail (or paws as I read in another review). My cat absolutely refused to use it as it was because it pinched his tail every time. | This item is fine, but don't order it from Global Pets! Mine arrived in a box so torn and damaged that half the parts were missing. It took me three days to get someone to respond to my calls & e-mails to help, and then they were unhelpful & had a very difficult process for me to get a replacement.
