| For goodness sake don't buy this crate if it's your dog's life goal to get free from captivity and don't stick a dog that has never been crate trained in here and walk away. However, if you have a quiet dog that is not a chewer, or a digger and is happy to rest quietly in their crate until you let them out, this crate may well be perfect. I crate a large German Shepherd in mine and she hasn't tried to escape or done any damage to the crate.

| I have 2 dogs that have smaller crates... and I also have an indoor rabbit. When I'm not home, everyone is caged so that they don't destroy my home, and it lessens separation anxiety greatly.
When I'm home, dogs and bunny frolic in the living room, but my poor bunny was trapped in this tiny cage all day long. I liked having the small cage on the floor as opposed to the larger cages on wheels or the platform hutches, so I didn't have to pick him up. He does not like being picked up and I didn't want ... | Maybe there was a redesign? Maybe some people never go to Ikea? Anyway, I had no problem putting it together - everything fit exactly as shown in the instructions. Ours replaced an endtable in the living room and looks fine in the corner. I too, noticed no smell. Yes, the wicker has a polyethylene (plastic) look/feel, but it still looks remarkably better than the small plastic kennel that sat in the living room before this purchase. |
