| As long as this charger is around $40, it's a better buy than the "newer" BC-700. To quote a review here on Amazon for the BC-700 by NLee:
"Except for the color, the BC700 looks exactly the same as the better-known BC900. However, it is actually a "handicapped" version of the old charger. | Well, I have been woken up an hour early every morning or not at all because the alarm clock updates at midnight and I don't know how to fix it. So frustrating. The only reason it got a 2 star review instead of 1 star is because I like the temperature readings. |

| Everything is relative. This unit is no exception. For the $25 price you can hardly go wrong. Yes, there is a glare but not enough to pass on the price. It does not have all the bells and whistles as the $50 plus stations but it does work and it works fairly well. We have 2 other models going: a really cheap one that shows it and a fairly expensive one and it has a few more bells and whistles. It is accurate, fairly easy to set up and provides the localized weather data that we wanted. The wireless transmission works well and once set up, leave it and forget it. Two drawbacks or changes I would like to see: it can be difficult to see unless it is mounted at a precise angle or set on the table stand. You can adjust the contrast and that does help somewhat. | Much better range/reception from remote temp sensor than 433Mhz skyscan model I replaced. If anything, the temp updates too often (4 seconds), fluctuating by half a degree or so. Personally I think 10 to 15 second temp updates would be more reasonable with a bit more stability in the readings. The time reception syncronized very quickly even from middle of my house. | I have owned the La Crosse WE-7014CH wireless weather station for a few years now (at least 4-5 yrs).
It has worked very well from day one. It's very accurate, easy to set up and the batteries in both the receiver and sensor last a long time (I'm sure it's been well over a year, close to two since I last replaced batteries). I have always had sensor sitting in outside window ledge, exposed to all East coast weather without any problems. This weather station is a reasonably priced, well built product. Read More: |

| Digital Thermometers are only as good as their accuracy and this LaCrosse Technology is accurate and a great buy.
I have two other thermometers which have humidity gauges. Thus, I ran a basic comparison test. I put the LaCrosse next to both my Springfield Precisetemp Digital and my aging, but accurate, Springfield Weather Station. | We love our weather station at the office. I have 2 others models from La Crosse and have been satisfied. This new one was very low price with lots of features by comparrison. Best value in my opinion.
My office staff got a kick out of picking a name for the young man in the middle. We settled on Bernie. We had a huge celebration the first time he came out wearing his swim trunks. | I use this model with 3 remote sensors. One sensor measures outdoor ambient, while the other two sensors are in the crawl space under the house, in near proximity to water lines at extremities. If under-house temp ever gets to approx 35F, I'll start a water drip at the faucet.
Accuracy is so-so. At worst, actual temp will be within 2F of measured value. In the summer, I'll replace batteries and put one sensor in the attic. |
