| I have used generic chimney starters in the past,and, while they worked, they were also awkward and slow to get going. On the Weber 7416, the convex wire base, ample vent holes, and extremely comfortable double handle make this unit work perfectly. Two sheets of newspaper, given a quick spray with Pam, then crumpled, will have you ready to cook in less than 20 minutes. This is a great product, period! |

| The kettle was egg shaped when it arrived having been mishandled in shipping. Not an easy item to ship. The enamel was chipped off the rim of the kettle and the lid would not sit on the kettle. Decided to buy one at Home Depot rather than go thru the aggravation after having to rebox and return this large item. |

| Works flawlessly. I especially like the fact that it has room for two probes, this way if I have two diffent thicknesses of meat I can make sure they are removed at the correct times. I have also used the second probe to display the oven temp by just laying it in the grill. I like how the temp is also displayed on the transmitter so if I am by the grill and not by the receiver I can see the temp. I am careful though to not expose the probe wires to direct flames as to not ruin them. I would not hesitate ... Read More: |

| A hi-quality cover.
Minor gripe: There's a "vent" on the back of which is a netted-material section. When it rained, some moisture did get in through this part, but very little. With that being said, you may want to check your grill after a heavy rain. |

| The cover works fine. It's a grill cover, so there's not a whole lot of innovation to be had. I however live in an area with wind storms, so I woke up one morning after a storm to find my grill naked, the cover nowhere to be found. I imagine it's somewhere in the Puget sound wedged in an Orca's blowhole. Some simple elastic on the bottom or grommet holes for bungees would have saved a whale. |
