| This notebook cooler seems a little on the flimsy/cheap end. I've been using two of them for a few weeks. One of them has already started being very noisy. Not pleasant! The other one is in a more noisy environment but it is quieter (but definitely no where near silent - it's still noisier than I'd like). I am concerned about how long these units will last. I also think there should be at least two fan speed settings, like low and high. |

| I teach a counseling skills course at a local community college, and needed this for the students to turn in an audio recording of an interview. Not all students are into the digital realities of today, so this analog tape recorder did the trick.
I gave it three stars, 'cause it only runs on batteries ... there's no where to plug in an A/C adaptor (my preference). If ya gotta go tape, this unit is alright. |

| Everyone has a printer to convert digital information to paper but I'm constantly surprised how many people don't have a scanner to convert paper to digital information. This is a very inexpensive way to be able to do that. I like that the device gets its power from the USB connnection. It does a good job scanning. The software was pretty easy to learn well enough to do some basic scanning, cropping, etc. |

| Long story short. It works perfect with Ubuntu 8.04. Install the HPLIP package. Printing, scanning, faxing all work across the wireless network.
Thank you HP for giving enough technical specifications to allow a project like HPLIP to work. |
