| This is the first Canon printer I have tried. I needed to get a printer that could scan and save in PDF format. I'm so pleased with the quality and performance with this printer. It's not the fastest, but plenty adequate. While I didn't buy it to print pictures ( I use my Epson 1800 for that), I tried to print some, and was amazed at the results...very true color and quality was surprising. The price was great and I would certainly recommend this printer!!! |

| This scanner is fine for basic scanning needs of documents and photo copies, but I wouldn't recommend for high-end professional work. I use it to make & keep document copies for my home files.
Warning: Set-up was very difficult, even for my husband who is Technology Director at his company. Poor directions & little if no online answers at Canon. He did manage to dig deep enough to get the thing going, but it wasn't an easy "plug-n-play". |

| I got an xpad for my macbook pro. As far as keeping heat from my lap it works, which is why it gets one star. The problem is that a blanket or book can also do this. I got this product because I thought it would help keep my laptop cooler. It doesn't. It works no better than a book. So save yourself the $25 and use a small empty binder instead, it works just as well, and is about the same size. | I bought mine in October of 1992 as electrical engineering student. In 16 years, it has never left my side. It is intuitive to use, intelligently designed, has lots of handy features built in and is as tough as a VW Beetle. I've dropped mine (and sat on it) more times than I can remember and it has suffered no problems whatsoever.
