| I recently took up recorder playing and fell into playing with my school's choir. I needed an instrument that sounded half decent, but I didn't want to spend a ton on a more expensive wooden recorder. I decided to buy this one, and I have been nothing but pleased with it. It sounds as good as a plastic recorder possibly can and breaks into three pieces for easy cleaning. If you need a good recorder and are stingy (much like me) buy this. You will not be upset! |

| I purchased an M-Audio Oxygen 8v2 here in Baltimore and have had nothing but problems. The Ableton really sucks and I wonder why they are pushing Ableton. The tech person at M-Audio told me to try Music Creator by Cakewalk with my system and maybe it would help. I purchased it and was able to get the sound to come out (previously no sound would come out), but when I would exit the program and come back, there would be no sound from a saved file previously recorded. | I ordered this for my eleven year old daughter because she is starting 6th grade and the school only provides loaner instruments to the lower grades. It came quickly, but what came was a Simba brand model CL-200 Clarinet. I admit that my daughter knows more about these things than I do becuse she has been taking clarinet for two years in school, but it looks to be a pretty cheaply made piece of plastic. | I learned to play on a "pocket Pal" and the decided to puy a "Marine Band". At first I loved it for the sound, but soon the wood combs started swelling and took longer and longer to recede. After a few weeks the comb stopped receding and now in some places protrudes out of the front of the harmonica and rubs againest my lips when I play. I am a beginner and this may be somehow my fault, but I don't think I will ever buy a harmonica with wood comb again. |

| DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION Midi devices and media center edition are not compatible and I didn't know that because they don't put that on the product description.So now I have to pay for shipping ($15) to return a product that doesn't work on my computer. |

| For a first ocarina I think this was a very good choice on my part. It may not sound the best but it doesn't sound too horrible compared to some others I've heard.
The range is about and octave +6 (Mine specifically is B to E, I'm not sure if it varies between ocarinas). It's a simple instrument to pick up and play, and gives a rather pleasant sound. | I love most things about this controller, and in time I'm sure I'll love it even more. The size, weight and feel of the controller are nice, its enjoyable to work with. The system behind it is daunting to someone with no experience with MIDI so the lack of a printed manual works against it; yes there is a PDF manual but when the applications I'm trying to use the controller with takes up the full screen keeping a PDF open for reference is a pain... and I prefer printed manuals.
