| I bought this for my one year old instead of a cheapy xylophone that can't be used once she gets older and I love it. The sticks are one piece so no threat of the ball falling off and her choking on it. She bangs the heck out of this thing and it stands up fairly well (She did smash a little bit of its foam deadener, but it still works, hope it won't affect it later). | I got this drum for my son's 4th birthday. He was excited to get it. I don't mind the sound at all. It is not a loud annoying sound like some cheap toys are. We also had the large lollipop Remo drum already, which we all enjoy. I also have a 18 month old. There is a mallet for each of them and they both play on it at the same time. | Basic Beat combination rhythm sticks are great! One is serated and makes a washboard sound when rubbed. I like the ability to have variety in the sounds with such a small, light weight, easy to carry around instrument! Great for children or adults, rhythm beginners or experts. Lots of fun to play and the smooth wood feels great in my hands. |

They take a lot of hitting. Produces normal Bongo sound I would guess. It may be easier to play them on a stand. Great to practice stickwork. Coordination. No mallet included. Perfect for starters. Not really made for small children. Good to have around a party. Have a good day! |

| It has a nice tone and seems sturdy so far. It came very well packed with quick shipping. They'll outgrow the octave range in high school if they stay with the full percussion set, but how many of us have room for a full-range set anyway? This is a great range span for the early years in percussion. |
