| i cant believe this cd is unavailable... the 1st cd is a classic... i couldnt even get a copy when it came out in 96...(australia) who actually made the cd? ive got universal on this site and absolute records [...] derrick you have the cd who actually made it?. I know al b sure helped produced but who was the company... thanx. will this site have the cd soon? |

| If you are a Shirley Murdock fan, you HAVE to have this album. Her gospel-like soul is only spotlighted with the synthesized, 80s sound. "Husband," "If I Know," and "Spend My Whole Life" are prime examples of true soul. Truly wonderful. |

| From the first song to the last, Island of the Sun is a heartfelt treat of the deepest dimension, a CD on which each song, creations of the artist, are to be savored. The story she tells in the liner notes describes a mystery of the highest order and speaks to me of the most profound of all lessons in life, those of integrity and intention. | The first album on this CD simply titled, "Tom Fogerty" is a toss away. The songs are loose without a sense of direction and Tom sounded unsure of his voice. (Of course who wouldn't have been nervious after a successful run with Creedence Clearwater Revial, and living in little brother John's spotlight).

| This album is a bit gentler and not quite as adventurous musically as some of Don's later albums. "Hold on, Arelia" is perhaps my favorite song written by Don and I believe the album is worth buying on the basis of this song alone. However, "Jump This Train" is quite good as well as are "Thank You for Calling," "If I Had My Way," "Wintertime in Greyland, "Beneath Your Moon, and "Joie de Vivre."
