| Tito Beltran's 'Romantica', which I found in the old power plant culture house at Baltimore's Inner Harbor 4 years ago, is a ravishing exposition of a melting tenor striving at his best. What caused me to buy it was the fact that his repertory consists of 3 of Jussi Björling's Swedish favourites, 'Till Havs', 'Ack Värmeland, du sköna' and the originally Danish 'I de lyse nætter' (Swedish: 'Sommarnatt'), all sung in Swedish, his second native tongue. | this is one performance a person should buy to enjoy the flavor of light opera and some enduring love songs from broadway musicals. mr. potts voice is enchanting and so very pleasing to the ears. he even shows his talent on some arranagements by singing in a foreign language charm that is highly exhilitering.......i positively recomend this one for your collection. |
