| I bought this CD because my daughter fell in love with the "winnie the pooh song" that I started singing to her some nights - and I wanted her to hear it from someone who is actually able to sing. I love that Too-ra-loo-ra is on this CD as well, another one I croaked out a few nights. But my daughter's new favorite is what she calls the "fievel song" - the mix of the songs from An American Tale and Peter Pan. And I personally fell in love with the rainbow song.

| Yup,when King Trident appeared you could see the audience whisper to each other and the confusion among the kids, like my 3 girls,ages 6,8, and 11.Ariel is as white as can be which made it so bizzare.It's like having a white Porgy or Bess or a non-jewish fiddler on the roof.Could you imagine the uproar. The show was just o.k. Better than Lion King(which isn't hard to do with people running around holding a paper mache face), but not even close to Beauty and The Beast,which was great. |

| Normally, I'd say this just one of upteen "Best of" CDs chronicling the many James Bond title songs. However, what makes this collection stand out is the inclusion of 'You Know My Name', the theme to 'Casino Royale', marking the first time the song has appeared on a Bond soundtrack. So, if you want all the title songs to every James Bond picture from Dr. No to Casino Royale, go buy this little jem of a release. You won't be disappointed. |

| I saw "Spamalot" on Broadway recently, and couldn't believe how awful it was (especially given that I'm a long-time Monty Python fan). The easily manipulated audience, desperate to be in on the jokes, laughed and cheered uproariously on cue. Disconcerting and frightening to see how easily manipulated people are. | More to do with the artist listing than the actual soundtrack. The version of 'Have Love Will Travel' that is used in the film is actually performed by The Sonics, not Richard Berry. I don't own the CD so I don't know if its an error or if they used a different version of the song for the soundtrack and for the film.
Regardless if anyone is trying to track down the artist heard in the film it was The Sonics. |

| I adore Les Mis, and the OBC is a nice recording of it. It comes up a little bit short when compared to the OLC, however; Colm Wilkinson and Frances Ruffelle are on both recordings, but they are much stronger on the OLC.
Michael Maguire is a clear advantage, in my opinion, over David Burt as Enjolras, but the favorable comparison ends after that. I like Patti Lupone more than Randi Graff as Fantine, although Ruthie Henshall is far better than both of them. I love Judy Kuhn and I think her Cosette ... Read More: |
