| This is as generic and bland as rock music can get. This CD is immensely boring. This album basically embodies all the stereotypical radio rock elements you can image.
If you want the monotonous truck-commercial sounding riffs and awful wannabe-Pearl Jam sounding vocals, you have it all in this album. | A follow up to his 2006 album "Under The Skin," which to me far excedes it. He takes on more of his rock roots and a few of the songs sound very much like something that could be on a Fleetwood Mac album. "Great Day" has "Tusk" written all over it. "Love Runs Deeper" has this awesome chorus with that Mac-ish tone. "Did You Miss Me" is just lyrics in motion and is definitely one of my favorites. | Rhino is usually VERY careful with sound, which is why it's so disappointing to discover that this release is hot mastered, just like everything else these days. Open any of the tracks in an audio editor and you'll see what I mean. Heck, "The Headmaster Ritual" is as loud and clipped as anything off the new Smashing Pumpkins album!
Truly a disappointment. Rhino, you should've known better. |

| Bought this for my sister who was really into the Spice Girls at the height of their fame. I've listened to it with her and there are a couple of good songs but I was in my late 20's when this came out so it was a bit past my interest level. Music and vocals are ok. If you are a SG fan, you will like this cd. |
