| This is a great album! John plays three distinct sets - the first, mostly accoustic and by himself, is a lot of old favorites and some newer stuff - Set 2 is a blues bar set that you would swear John is channeling Stevie Ray Vaughan! Great guitar work, driving blues, good stuff! Set three is with the rest of the band, doing a lot of his newer stuff - it's a great album. |

| Dont look at this like a simple b-sides release. It's that and so much more. Most of these songs could have easily been released with City of Evil of the ST album. And the DVD is great. Ive never seen them live, but they obviously sound just as good live as they do on the disk. Great songs on the disk. Great DVD. Just get it. |

| Simply put, this is metal at its finest by arguably the greatest metal band in their heyday.
Besides playing host to the ubiquitous "Battery" and the titular track "Master of Puppets," the album contains "Sanitarium" and "The Thing That Should Not Be," two other great tracks. The rest of the album is solid, including the instrumental track "Orion." This album is great but not for the faint of heart; you have been warned. |

| The Cold War Kids first album, Cowards, showed me that new music does not always suck.
That said, this is a review for Loyalty to Loyalty. I appreciate the lyrics, diversity and lack of conformity of this album, however I find it hard to listem to. It feels likes it's caught between worlds, pop, art, poetry,...I support any artitst desire to experiment, grow and try different things, but for me this album just did not grab me like their first effort.
