| I loved 7 Seconds and the song sung by Mick Jagger and Peter Tosh. I just opened last night and am pretty intruiged by it. This CD is great to listen to in the car. |

| I really expected more from this artist given her past successes, but this CD was too too "romanticos". It was a little on the dull side. |

| It's not the Best Tango Album in the World Ever! But it's pretty darn good. This is NOT an album where all the songs sound the same; there is a remarkable variety in the song selection. You'll hear everything from vocals, like Gardel's Volver, to Fuga Y Misterio performed by The 12 Cellists of the BPO, a strange but enchantingly beautiful selection. | Amazon doesn't have the correct list of songs on their page, and that drove me crazy, so I thought I'd share the list with others. My only complaint would be that "Alguien Soy Yo" is only on the DVD disc and not the CD.

| I bought this CD as a resource to teach Spanish to my kids during their Summer vacation. They have learned new words and sing "La mar estaba serena..." quite often. Also it is great to expose them to different Latin American rithms. It has also some songs that are good for teaching kids how to dance moving hips at the rithm of music. Mom burns calories and kids too! We all have fun! |

| This album is simply amazing. After the commercial success of her first U.S. release, LAUNDRY, Shakira went back to her artistic roots with this all-Spanish album. The musicality, lyricism, and tone of this CD puts all of her prior and later work to shame. Even the English VOL. 2, a great album in its own right, pales in comparison. | Excellent chill CD, but very distinctively Argentinian. Mixes chill beats with traditional Argentinian tango very effectively--the bandoneon, so typical of tango, is omnipresent, as is Aubele's fine guitar work.
The (female) vocalists have very strong Argentinian accents and styles, and are sexy as can be. The way the vocalist pronounces the word "ya" (now) in "Contigo" will make your knees weak if you know even a bit of Spanish. Aubele's singing isn't bad either. | Something just quite wasn't right about both "El Ultimo Concierto" releases in 1997. It had the songs, it had the fans, it seemed like the perfect goodbye release, but there was something that didn't quite click. I had always wondered what that was, and until the Me Veras Volver tour was released on CD and DVD i found out: it was lacking passion!
Because the band ended in such terrible terms in 1997, the goodbye tour back then seemed more like a responsibility to Sony BMG records rather than something the three of them ... Read More: |
