| Other reviewers slate this recording because it's not in keeping with the Guaraldi trio sound that made Charlie Brown so distinctive. That is in a way, a completely valid concern, but the fact remains, this recording is an interpretation, and not entirely a bad one.

| How did Ry Cooder escape my notice for so long? My wife noticed a song off this album playing on a jukebox and immediately took notice. When we arrived at home we ordered the cd hoping the album reflected the song we heard on the jukebox... and it did. That sexy, surf guitar sound blended with the latin rhythm made for a wonderful album. It reminds me of some the music in David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me movie. The kind of music you might hear at One Eyed Jacks. Well worth a listen. |

From the other reviews you cannot doubt the musically perfect pitch, wonderful voice of Fernando Lima, but I must also highlight the perfect muscianship of the production including wonderful flute, piano, etc..It is not often where a singer can 'share' the production equally with first rate muscians and neither ever over-shadow the other!----This is a quality production rarely produced in the states anymore. | I went to 2 of Mana's concerts in Houston. Both times were just electric. While the video put me in the same atmosphere, I feel the song choice could have been a little better. Much of the album reminded me too much of the Mana en vivo album with much of the song selection coming from that album (el rey, vivir sin aire, rayando el sol, and donde jugaran los ninos (loved that one though)). | I made a mistake of buying this CD without listening to it first.It has also five music in a CD.I Love to listen to Tango Especially La Cumparsita , La Paloma, A Media Luz,and love to dance Tango...Very Sorry that "Tango: Zero Hour" is not my type of music and did'nt impress me.
