| I must warn you up front: tracks 2,10,11,15,16,17 and 18 are ALTERNATE TAKES, not the masters you are probably use to. And it is NOT advertised on the package! So if you know these songs by heart, you will either be pleased to have them or very annoyed. Just to warn you.
The transfers are fine but the song selection is missing a bunch of songs that I would consider essential to a "Very Best" collection of Benny's RCA period. It is just not one without "Don't Be That Way", "Loch Lomond", ... Read More: |

| Since the first time I saw him perform was two years ago, it was great to be able to see this performance from the past. All the energy and passion he shows now was there back then. He's still amazing to see in person and the concerts are still fantastic! This proves the point that you can be a Christian and still be an amazing performer. |

| Don't know, nor do I care what others say here because opinions are entirely subjective, mine included. One word should suffice when it comes to this musician: virtuoso. Consider the definition: "a musician who shows exceptional ability, technique, or artistry." That said, you'd get your money's worth out of this album with one song: "Revelation". | Even though I given this a Five Star rating, I know that not everyone has the capacity to like Satchmo. However, for those music lovers who love the blues, love classics, and love pioneers of great music, this is an awesome collection from a great artist.

| I've just "discovered" Javier Colina here in Montevideo, Uruguay, South America, during the Jazz Tour Festival in September 2008.
I was absolutely amazed by his technique, his swing and his joy in making music. Once at home after the concert I found this CD in Amazon and I said to myself: These two men together must be dynamite. | I love this CD. This was the first Zero 7 CD that I ever had and it is still my favorite although When It Falls has it's moments. I first heard these guys on a compilation CD that I picked up at the library and I immediately knew that I would be buying their stuff. In the world of chill they are standouts for sure.
